An Afternoon With the Herd
South of everywhere Istramore usually goes, the land opens up and empties out — fewer walls, fewer signs, a horizon that keeps going. An organic farm sits here, run the old way: animals on open pasture, cheese made by hand, nothing rushed toward a season it isn't in yet.
Guests are led by the farm's own hosts — first through the grounds, then out to the pasture itself, where the goats graze wild and mostly ignore visitors entirely. This is the shortest day in the Istramore collection, deliberately — a half-day for families, for guests travelling with children, or for anyone who wants Istria without eight hours of it.
This is the price of the full private half-day — chauffeur, farm tour, and tasting. Not the price of a single activity.

The Farm
There are places in Istria that exist entirely outside of tourism. This is one of them.
A working organic farm in the hills of southern Istria — where goats graze in wild pastures and cheese is still made by hand, on a rhythm set by the animals and the seasons, not by a clock. Your afternoon begins here, with a private tour through the land, before heading out to meet the herd itself.
The Pasture
Out past the farm buildings, the pastures open up — wild, unmanicured, exactly as they should be. The goats graze freely and mostly ignore visitors entirely, which is, in its own way, the point. Closed shoes and long trousers are the only requirement. Everything else is simply walking, watching, and slowing down.
The Tasting
Back at the farm, a tasting is laid out — cheese made that week, by hand, from the milk of the goats you have just met. There is nothing staged about it. It is simply good food, made honestly, by people who have been doing it this way for a long time.

What should we wear?

Closed shoes and long trousers are required for the walk to pasture — the ground is uneven, and the goats keep company with a fair amount of grass and bramble.
What if someone in our group has dietary restrictions?
