LUXURY HONEYMOON

IN ISTRIA

A honeymoon designed around the two of you.

Private journeys, intimate experiences and the quieter side of Istria — thoughtfully curated, beautifully paced and entirely your own.

Your Honeymoon, the Istramore Way

Your honeymoon does not need to be a collection of places checked off a list. It should feel like a story that belongs only to the two of you.

Perhaps it begins with a private transfer from Venice, Trieste or Pula Airport, continues through the vineyards and medieval hilltop villages of inland Istria, and ends with a sunset over the Adriatic. Perhaps one morning you follow a truffle hunter and his dogs into the Motovun forest. Another afternoon is spent tasting extraordinary olive oil with a local producer. One evening, there is nothing planned at all — only a quiet table, good wine, and the feeling that you have nowhere else to be.

At Istramore, we design private journeys around the way you want to travel. Not a checklist. Not a package. Your Istria. Your pace. Your story.

A Honeymoon Curated Around You

Private Arrival Arrive beautifully. Private meet & greet at Venice, Treviso, Trieste or Pula airport, a Mercedes V-Class, a professional English-speaking chauffeur, chilled water and Wi-Fi from the first mile. → Private Chauffeur Services in Istria

Wine & Slow Days Private visits to exceptional Istrian wineries, tastings of indigenous grape varieties, away from the crowds and the coach groups. We don't sell a wine list — we sell an afternoon that slows all the way down.

Truffles & The Istrian Table Follow a local truffle hunter and his dogs into the Motovun forest before sitting down to a long Istrian lunch — native wines, cold-pressed olive oil, and a hill town at golden hour to close the day. → Discover the Truffle Experience

The Adriatic, Just for Two Somewhere between the islands and the sunset, time slows down. A private boat, the Rovinj archipelago, the Lim Fjord, a hidden cove kept entirely to yourselves. → Private Boat Experiences in Istria

The Taste of Istria Olive oil, wine, honey, truffles, local cuisine — but the point is never the food alone. Meet the people behind it. Family producers who have worked this land for generations, and are happy to share why.

The Villages No Guidebook Can Quite Explain Grožnjan, Motovun, Oprtalj, Završje, Bale, Svetvinčenat. We do not simply take you there. We introduce you to the people, stories and places that make each one mean something.

Not an Itinerary. A Feeling.

There is no perfect itinerary for a honeymoon.

There is only the one that feels like you.

Perhaps your days begin slowly, with no alarm and nowhere you need to be. You wake to the sound of the Adriatic, linger over breakfast, and spend the morning doing absolutely nothing — because, for once, there is nowhere else you need to go.

Later, a car is waiting.

You leave the coast behind and follow the road inland, through vineyards and quiet stone villages, until the landscape begins to feel like a secret. Somewhere in the Motovun forest, a local truffle hunter is waiting with his dogs. You walk beneath the trees, following their instinct, laughing when they disappear into the undergrowth. And when they finally find what you came for, you realise that the truffle was never really the point.

The point was being there.

Another day, perhaps, belongs entirely to the sea.

A boat takes you away from the coast, leaving the noise of the summer behind. The islands of Rovinj drift past slowly. You swim in water so clear that you can see the bottom. There is a bottle of something cold waiting in the shade. No schedule. No one watching the clock.

Just the two of you, the Adriatic, and an afternoon that seems to belong to no one else.

And then there are the evenings.

A table somewhere in the countryside. A bottle of wine made only a few kilometres away. Olive oil poured onto warm bread. The last light falling across the stone walls. Perhaps you have spent the day exploring. Perhaps you have done almost nothing.

Both are perfectly right.

This is how we imagine a honeymoon in Istria.

Not as a collection of places to visit.

But as a collection of moments you will remember.

The Romantic Istria

Perhaps your journey begins in Venice, where your private chauffeur meets you and the journey south begins. By late afternoon, you arrive in Rovinj. The town is glowing in the evening light. You wander through its narrow streets without a map, stop for an aperitivo, and watch the sun disappear somewhere beyond the islands.

The following morning, there is no reason to hurry.

Later, a private wine experience takes you into the Istrian countryside, where the people who make the wine will tell you why they chose to stay, to plant, to wait. The evening ends around a table prepared especially for you. A few days later, you find yourselves in the Motovun forest. You had come looking for truffles.

You leave with a story.

And perhaps, on your final evening, you return to the sea.

A boat. A quiet bay. The last light. You realise that the most beautiful part of your honeymoon was never the list of places you visited. It was the space between them.

Let us design yours.

The Slow Honeymoon

Perhaps the most luxurious thing we can give you is time. Two days with nothing planned.

A long breakfast that becomes lunch. A swim before anyone else has arrived at the beach.

An afternoon beneath the shade of an olive tree, a bottle of wine between you, and nowhere you need to be before sunset.

Maybe, later, someone suggests a boat. So you go.

Not because it was on the itinerary. Simply because the sea looked beautiful that afternoon.

You discover a village at the end of a quiet road. You sit down for dinner because the light is beautiful. You stay because the food is good. This is a honeymoon without a timetable. A journey that unfolds as it should.

Slowly.

Naturally.

Together.

The Adventurous Honeymoon

Some couples fall in love with the quiet. Others want to see what lies beyond the next bend in the road. For you, the morning might begin deep in the forest, following a truffle hunter and his dogs through the ancient woods of Istria. By afternoon, you are on the Adriatic, swimming in a hidden cove that can only be reached from the water.

Another day, you follow a narrow road into the hills, stopping in a medieval village where the streets are quiet and the views seem to stretch forever. There might be a kayak. A hidden beach. A trail through vineyards.

A table waiting somewhere you would never have found on your own. And at the end of the day, you return to your hotel tired, sun-warmed and happy — with the feeling that you have seen something that was never really meant to be found.

This is Istria at its most beautiful. Not when you are rushing to see everything. But when you allow the road to surprise you.

Your honeymoon. Your pace. Your story.
